Herb Schultz's experience includes time at the Illinois attorney general's office in Springfield, where he served as assistant attorney general and Rock Island Regional Office director. His duties included implementation and enforcement of policies and procedures initiated by the Illinois attorney general. Schultz prosecuted consumer fraud, revenue collection, and motion practice for various Illinois agencies.
While working in the Illinois attorney general's office, Herb Schultz successfully enjoined and prosecuted fraudulent charitable organizations, secured refunds to consumers from fraudulent retail store and travel scams, seized property for failure to pay delinquent Illinois retail sales tax, and served as a liaison for the Illinois attorney general through monthly television appearances and public speaking engagements.
